What does a Key Worker or Early Intervention Consultant do?
A Key Worker and Early Intervention Consultant works closely with children and their families to support the child’s progress towards their goals at home, in educational settings and in the community. A Key Worker and Early Intervention Consultant can also support your child’s participation in all areas of their life. They can help coordinate and streamline therapy services.
Key Workers and Early Intervention Consultants support children to work towards their goals including:
- school readiness and transition
- handwriting skills
- play skills
- social skills
- emotional regulation
- fine motor skills – the coordination of the small muscles of the body that enable functions such as writing, grasping small objects, and fastening clothing
- self care skills- toilet, dressing, bathing, etc.

- Consultation with educators in schools, childcares or kinder
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Telehealth services
- Resource development for home, school, childcare, kinder etc
- Home, education settings and community services
- Working as a Key Worker by providing

- coordination of services and support with your child’s team of professionals including Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists etc

Fees and Funding
Fees are priced in accordance with the NDIS price guide for children with self managed and plan managed NDIS plans as per the NDIS guidelines, Early Childhood Intervention Supports (under 7 years) — Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living — Capacity Building Supports for Early Childhood Interventions – Other Therapy
